Nissan Rogue Service Manual: Precaution

Precaution for Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) "AIR BAG" and "SEAT BELT PRE-TENSIONER"

The Supplemental Restraint System such as “AIR BAG” and “SEAT BELT PRE-TENSIONER”, used along with a front seat belt, helps to reduce the risk or severity of injury to the driver and front passenger for certain types of collision. Information necessary to service the system safely is included in the SR and SB section of this Service Manual.

PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING POWER TOOLS (AIR OR ELECTRIC) AND HAMMERS

WARNING:

Cautions in Removing Battery Terminal and AV Control Unit (Models with AV Control Unit)

CAUTION: Remove battery terminal and AV control unit 30 seconds or more after turning the ignition switch OFF.

NOTE: After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the AV control unit continues operating for approximately 30 seconds.

Therefore, data corruption may occur if battery voltage is cut off within 30 seconds.
